Who I am beyond Design
How I found my way to UX/UI design
I’ve always enjoyed creating things, which is why I decided to study architecture (and design). One of my favorite subjects during my studies was urban planning. My teacher was a strong advocate for designing cities for the people who live in them. Authors like Jan Gehl, with Life Between Buildings, and Jane Jacobs, with The Death and Life of Great American Cities, particularly inspired me because they emphasized putting people at the center of city design. That’s where my interest in designing for users first started—and here I am, several years later, still following that passion.
What I Value Most
In a professional setting, I deeply value being part of a good team. A group of people that not only helps achieve better results but also allows you to grow every day. A supportive team makes it easier to overcome creative blocks when a design isn’t quite coming together. Another essential for me when working is my notebook.
I’ve always loved organizing my days with to-do lists and jotting down notes or sketches to help clarify my thoughts. Not everything that goes on paper needs to become reality, but it’s a process that helps me. For me, a good balance of teamwork and organization is key to delivering great results.
What I enjoy to unwind
I’ve always had a creative streak, and I love exploring it through my hobbies. I’m passionate about figure skating (even if the years are starting to catch up with me) and enjoy crafts like crochet and origami.
Creating things with my hands is a way for me to relax and recharge. Another way I unwind is by playing video games, especially management games. There’s nothing quite like tending to your little farm after a day’s work to let go of stress.
